Welcome to First United Methodist Church!

Youth Programs

The youth of our congregation (grades 6th-12th) are vital and visible members of our faith community. The youth ministry programs seek to provide a place where middle and high school aged youth can:

Upcoming Events:

Wednesday, March 5th 7:00-8:00 – Mission trip info meeting!! Come for more information and to talk about any questions or concerns that you may have about the mission trip. We are really starting to pull everything together for the mission trip to Birmingham Alabama this summer. I hope that everyone who can come will be coming. It is sure to be an incredible experience to remember. Be sure to stay tuned for fundraising activities and the like which are coming up soon.


Wednesday, March 12th 7:00-8:30 youth bowling night at the UMC!!! Bring 5 bucks for shoes and any extra for the arcade.

Wednesday, March 19th 7:00-8:30 – come help get everything ready for the Easter celebration. We have a lot of eggs to fill and we need all of your help. There will be a LOT of candy so come for a sugar buzz too.

Sunday, March 23rd EASTER!!! 10:00-10:30am – Sunday School, come help set up for the Easter celebration. We need everyone here to make it something memorable for the kids. We will have a lot of games and fun things to do after church.

Wednesday, March 26th – no youth group – have a safe and fun spring break!!!

Sunday, March 30th 10:00-10:30am – No Sunday school – Keep having a safe and fun spring break!!

In Sunday School (10:00-10:50am) youth are challenged to think, ask questions, and explore their faith in an open environment.

In Youth Group (Wednesday evenings 7:00-8:30pm) the youth enjoy events geared toward community social activities and service projects, such as bowling, movie and game nights, field trips, soup kitchen and other volunteer opportunities.

Annual service and mission projects in the past have ranged from attending the Parliament of World Religions in Barcelona, Spain, to volunteer work at a South Dakota Indian reservation, and an inner-city youth church convention in Denver.
