United Methodist Women (UMW)

UMW Welcomes You! All women are invited to join in a supportive environment through their membership in a Circle, Interest Group or as a General Member supporting our Purpose, Mission and Ministry. Contact a group leader or officer for more information. The church UMW Bulletin Board and Newsletter provide information on current events.

Purpose

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Christ Jesus; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Circles

RUTH Circle
Meets 3rd Wednesday at 9:30 AM at Church.

SARAH Circle
Book discussion group meets 4th Tuesday at 9:30 AM in homes.

Interest Groups

Quilters
Meets 3rd Friday at 9:30 AM at Church in Mead Hall.
Makes crib quilts to welcome new babies to our church family, and through Project Linus, provides “security blankets” to children in crisis.
Does not meet in July and August.

Martha Group
A hands-on project group, organized with the purpose of service projects such as serving monthly dinners for the Wesley Foundation at CU.

Knitting Group
An informal gathering of knitters and crocheters to make shawls for comfort and healing. Times to be announced.
