ReVision Strategic Action Teams (SATs)
Several near-term initiatives have emerged from the ReVision process. Teams of church members and friends are participating to initiate actions in a number of key areas:
1. Building and Grounds. This SAT will work to identify and complete projects which will improve the appearance and function of the building and grounds for current members and friends and the public in general.
2. 21st Century Communications. This SAT will develop ideas to improve our communication about programs and activities to FUMC and the outside community using a variety of 21st century technologies. There will be a particular emphasis on publicity.
3. Property and Finance. This SAT will continue to evaluate the best ways to utilize our property and financial resources to accomplish our initiatives. There will be an emphasis on oversight of the 2007 stewardship campaign and developing a budget for 2008.
4. Create a task force to establish evening gatherings for fellowship, study and a variety of intergenerational programs, at least once per quarter.
5. Create a task force to develop a process for addressing social justice issues.
6. Create a task force to initiate ideas about how to increase opportunities for outreach by members and friends of FUMC.
