Welcome to First United Methodist Church!

Library

booksFUMC Boulder has an excellent library, featuring books (including large print), periodicals, tapes, CDs, DVDs, and other materials from a wide range of contemporary and historical scholars, writers and teachers.   The library includes a special children's section, the United Methodist Women's collection, and a resource center for PFLAG (Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians and Gays).  To find the library coming from the parking lot entrance, go past the main office, turn right down the corridor, and the library is on your left.  Come in and experience all that the library offers for reading and reference.

New books and other materials are highlighted in FUMC's monthly newsletters.  Books of current interest, such as those mentioned in sermons or highlighted in FUMC special classes, can be found on top of the card catalog. Reconciling materials may be found in a file box on top of the card catalog. Book reviews of selected additions are in a loose-leaf binder on the table.

Books may be checked out for two weeks and renewed. They can be returned to the box to the right of the entrance.

The library subscribes to three periodicals: Christian Century, Sojourners and Progressive Christian.  Periodicals can be checked out for one week.

A particularly interesting item in the collection is a table-top finger labyrinth-- come and discover it! (It is stored in the drawer of the Unabridged Dictionary stand along the right wall.)
